We are all about community here at Carmel Assembly. God calls us to labor for His glory, and those who commit their fellowship here are encouraged to use their spiritual gifts, love people in and out of the church and give sacrificially of their time, talent and treasure.

Serving others deepens your relationship with God and people. Whether helping in a children’s class or greeting visitors, you will grow closer to the Lord, those you serve, and those who serve with you. Nothing compares to being on a team that laughs with, loves, and supports one another while helping others.

Life Group Host

Duran and Shannon Carder host one of our Carmel Life Groups, which meets at the church. Duran and Shannon have been married for 2 years and have two english bulldogs. When they have available time, the couple enjoys watching football , going to starbucks, and playing anything competitive with their friends.

Life Group Host

Terri and Keith Szaronos host one of Carmel Life Groups, which meets at their home. Keith and Terri, owners of a furniture and interior design business, are largely responsible for the beauty of our current facility. If you find yourself admiring the architecture or a piece of wood furniture in our building (such as the pulpit), it is likely that Keith designed and handcrafted it. Terri and Keith have been married for 26 years and have three grown children. When they have available time, the couple enjoys traveling in their RV, dining on pasta and fresh vegetables from their garden, and playing video games with family and friends.

Men's Ministry

Chris Ferguson is our newly appointed Men’s Ministries leader. A Navy veteran who sings, knows all things mechanical, and is an all-around good guy, Chris has a heart for drawing the Carmel Assembly men closer in their walk with Jesus, stronger in their marriages and families, and encouraging and holding each other accountable in this current age of distractions and pitfalls. Chris and his wife Deb have been married for 22 years. They are the proud owners of Angus, Deb’s service Labradoodle and our congregation’s favorite “mascot.” When not working around the clock as Director of Maintenance for Pepsi, Chris can be found dining out with his wife and friends, going to Neil Diamond concerts, enjoying funny movies, and sharing humorous stories and encouraging words.

Church Keepers

Jim and Jan Gee do so much more than head up our team of housekeeping volunteers. Through a diverse ministry of helps, Jan and Jim minister to and pray for people through intercession, encouragement, and discipleship.

The two are avid travelers and art and antiques enthusiasts with several booths at a local antiques mall. They have been married 49 years and are blessed with two grown children and three grandchildren. Church Keepers

Events Coordinator

Ty was a graduate and former staff member of Evansville Master's Commission in Evansville, IN. Being a student for 3 years and staff member for 2, he has had much hands on ministry and leadership training. He is currently serving as our Events Coordinator, keeping everyone informed of the many things going on here at Carmel Assembly. Ty has a heart to disciple young men and women and lead a broken generation into a passionate pursuit of God. He and his wife moved to Indianapolis in May of 2010 and are both pursuing their education; He as a Christian counselor and She as a medical doctor.
