Greeters / Ushering Team
Duane Ward leads our team of friendly Greeters and Ushers. A longtime member of Carmel Assembly of God, Duane also lends his talents in the area of maintenance when he's needed, as he is a small business owner in that field. Duane is married to Carrie Ward, our church's administrative assistant, and the couple have two young sons, Ethan and Isaac. Duane originally hails from Michigan, where he was born and raised, but he is definitely a Colts fan and enjoys sports of all kinds, particularly football and wrestling.
Men's Ministries
Chris Ferguson is our newly appointed Men’s Ministries leader. A Navy veteran who sings, knows all things mechanical, and is an all-around good guy, Chris has a heart for drawing the Carmel Assembly men closer in their walk with Jesus, stronger in their marriages and families, and encouraging and holding each other accountable in this current age of distractions and pitfalls. Chris and his wife Deb have been married for 22 years. They are the proud owners of Angus, Deb’s service Labradoodle and our congregation’s favorite “mascot.” When not working around the clock as Director of Maintenance for Pepsi, Chris can be found dining out with his wife and friends, going to Neil Diamond concerts, enjoying funny movies, and sharing humorous stories and encouraging words.
Jim and Jan Gee do so much more than head up our team of housekeeping volunteers. Through a diverse ministry of helps, Jan and Jim minister to and pray for people through intercession, encouragement, and discipleship. The two are avid travelers and art and antiques enthusiasts with several booths at a local antiques mall. They have been married 49 years and are blessed with two grown children and three grandchildren.
Keith and Lori Trump host our West Indianapolis Life Group, which meets at the home of Matt and Naomi Brady. As founding pastor of Carmel Assembly of God, Pastor Keith believes that every part of God’s Word is for today. He and wife Lori place a key focus on teaching in an understandable, relevant way so that participants can aptly apply the lessons to their daily lives. Avid football fans, it is not uncommon to hear Pastor Keith (and sometimes Lori) using an illustration from football when making a point.
